I will be posting my favourite collections from New York, Milan and Paris over the next few days. Milan was sublime and Paris is yet to be determined. New York was, in one phrase, eminently wearable.

Inspired by the “golden hour” and the colours of the Plains, Rodarte’s collection brings you into the countryside, surrounded by miles of wheat fields and the warm Prairie sun.  Effortlessly combining down-to-earth with ethereal, the collection’s gently structured pieces are beautiful and easy to wear.

Jason Wu

A sleek yet very delicate collection.  Wu cleverly deconstructs lace and paints fragments over his pieces for a surprisingly fresh result.

Prabal Gurung

Relatively new on the scene, Prabal is one to watch.  This collection is for the strong women, but still very glamourous, not to mention highly wearable.

Marc by Marc Jacobs

This was a signature Marc by Marc Jacobs collection.  Combining bohemian prints, earthy fall colours and typically chunkier shapes, the collection has everyday pieces for the chic city girl.
